A step forward towards eGuide implementation
In Stralsund, the way was paved for implementing an eGuide system at partner museums in Stralsund, Gdynia and Klaipeda during the kick-off meeting for the lately approved project "BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus". The partners from Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Germany met in the hanseatic city 8-10 December 2010, following an invitation by Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, lead parter of the project. Continuing the successful cooperation from BalticMuseums 2.0, the consortium will now develop the eGuide from a prototype stage to a running system.

In-depth acceptance test will help to set up the system in a way directly addressing the needs of visitors. A large part of the workload will be dedicated to the development of visual, audio and text content. The museums will exploit synergies by sharing content. The universities as scientific partners of the consortium will provide the technical basis to realize this vision.
