Successful eGuide-test in the Nautineum Stralsund

n the last week of April the first eGuide-test in the Nautineum in Stralsund took place. Beside museum staff also students from Stralsund University – among them three exchange students from China - took part. The test succeeded despite rainy weather, and also the Chinese students were fascinated by the eGuides. “From China I just know audio guides, but none with pictures and videos.”, says Ziyan Zhang. The student of Leisure and Tourism Management likes especially the possibility to use different audio response and texts. The student of economics Yibo Ming praises mainly the good usability, “It’s very easy and understandable”. The eGuide runs on a commercially available iPod touch. “It’s a great addition to the exhibition”, the student of economy Beili Hong is pleased. “Especially because it’s included in the entrance fee”, says Beili. As of now the eGuides will be handed out to interested visitors of the Nautineum. The official opening takes place on 25 May during the Dänholm-day.
